WIKIPEDIA PAGE ANALYSIS – COLLABORATION

The overall Wikipedia page structure provides easy user interface. It starts with the general idea of collaboration such as definition, history, as well as the associated terms (e.g. collaborationism, collaborationist, and collaborator). It is then followed by table of contents which lists all parts of this topic. Each list also has a link providing users to easily navigate the page. The layout is consistent throughout the page. The content is divided into sub-paragraphs with different sizes of headings. Each paragraph is well supported by image examples and captions. Towards the end of the page, it provides lists of associated information such as related terms, references, and further reading.

For Wikipedia, anyone can edit any page. This can be made by editing spelling, grammar, rewriting for readability and removing unconstructive edits. However, adding new facts is required to provide verifiable references. Every edit is associated with page history. The page history consists of the old versions of the content, as well as a record of date and time, username, and edit summary. This is shown in Figure 01. Another key feature of Wikipedia is ‘Talk Page’ or discussion forum. It offers the ability to discuss articles and other issues with other contributors. Figure 02 shows an example discussion under a collaboration topic.
